Gemini supports my work in some way every day. One of the most helpful things it does is provide feedback. And, weirdly, that’s true even when the feedback itself isn’t very good.
That’s because it often makes me realise what I don’t want or need. In turn, that kicks my brain into gear with a new idea, or creates clarity about what I do want.
Here’s a simple prompt you can use to try this yourself. I find this most helpful if I ask it alongside attaching a document, image or other notes I’ve been working on. (For better results, select the Pro model in the top left before you submit this prompt.)
Act as a seasoned expert in [Project Field]. I need your critical feedback on this work, which is for [Target Audience] and aims to [Project Goal]. Please identify its single biggest strength, its most significant weaknesses, and provide three specific, actionable suggestions for improvement.

I find that Gemini skews positive - and boosts my ego by telling me how great my work is, so this prompt forces a more critical lens whilst still providing an opportunity for praise.
The most important thing to remember is the response you get isn’t necessarily true. You may have completed the most epic piece of work known to man, but Gemini will carry out your wishes and provide feedback when you prompt it. It’s up to you to decide whether you listen to the feedback or not.
See you next week!
